Furore In Falcons Camp Over N10,000 Paid As Four Weeks Camping Allowance

All is not well in the camp of Nigeria’s women national football team, Super Falcons following the decision by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF to decamp them and pay them paltry camping allowance of N10,000 after spending four weeks in the camp.

Each of the senior female footballers was said to have been paid the shocking allowance after they managed to secure a 2-1 win over the Lioness of Cameroon in last Saturday’s Olympic qualifier against the French speaking west African country.

A reliable source in the falcons camp told iREPORTS-NG.com that the female footballers were miffed that the football body could treat them with such disregard by paying them an allowance that could not last them a day.

‘Being the senior women’s team they should have been paid better. Eagles are paid 100USD as daily allowance. So what
is N10,000 if you are to compare? It is nothing. That was
quite unfair,’ said the source.

It was however gathered from an NFF official that the players have no reason to complain since each of them received as match bonus another $1000USD while their head coach, Eucharia Uche got double of that.
