No Deal Yet On CPC/ACN Merger Talks, Says Buhari …As CBN Gov Is Turbaned Dan Majen Kano
Presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 polls, General Mohammadu Buhari has said that his party is yet to strike any deal with Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) on the on-going merger talks between the two parties.
Buhari who made this known in a one line answer while fielding questions from journalists at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport today simply declared “there is no deal yet.”
The two opposition parties leaders had arrived the airport on the same aircraft and driven to the turbaning ceremony of the Central Bank of Nigeria governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as Dan Majen Kano, in the same car.
The public show of rapport is coming on the heels of a meeting by an ACN delegation with General Buhari at his Kaduna residence on Thursday. The Kaduna meeting was preceded by a similar meeting Buhari had with Tinubu in his Lagos residence about a fortnight ago.
