Two Airforce Officers Among Four Killed By Gunmen In Kano
A mid-day attack launched by members of the Boko Haram islamist sect in Kano today has left no fewer than four persons including two serving Air Force officers dead and several others injured.
Reports from residents of Hotoro quarters in the ancient city also indicate that two persons were shot dead in fron of their homes in the area.The gunmen were said to have attacked their victims around 12noon local time and thereafter escaped on motorcycles. As a result, the entire sabon gari area were thrown into panic.
In the Yan Lemo by Saida’tu Rimi College of Education, along Zaria Road Express Way, another set of gunmen were said to have opened fire on an airforce car at about 1.00pm killing two officers.
Spokesman of the Joint Security Task Force in the state, Lt. Ikedechi Iweha confirmed the killing of the officers but declined further details.
