Terror Mongers Hijack Lagos Govt Website, Threaten FG, U.S, Others

A bunch of terror mongers today hijacked the official website of the Lagos State Government. The website: www.lagosstate.gov.ng was for hours disrupted while they posted messages describing the Nigerian Government, that of the United States, Israel and others as state sponsors of terrorism.

The message accused the Nigerian government, United States of America, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar are state sponsors of terrorism. The message reads: “In the Name Of GOD. Message to Nigeria Government and State Sponsors of Terrorism (USA, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Qatar):

“Boko Haram and ISIS are terrorists, They are killing Muslims and innocent people because of your dirty money, Hey Nigeria Government you killed thousands of Muslims and specially Zakzaky’s family too, You are all terrorists, You are all murders, GOD damn you! Allahu maulana wala mula lakum”

In a swift reaction, Lagos State government admitted that its website was hacked, saying it has however retrieved the website. In a press statement issued and signed by the state’s Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde said , “the State Government wishes to inform the general public that its website, http://www.lagosstate.gov.ng was in the early hours of today, Friday, December 18, 2015 hacked by unknown individual or group posting provocative messages on the site.”

He said the website has however been retrieved while the bugs left behind from the hack are being cleared. It promised that the website would soon be restored, better and stronger to continue in its tradition of giving accurate and up-to-date information on the activities, policies and programmes of the Lagos State Government.

The statement added that the incident has been reported to the State Security Service and the police. It implored Lagos residents to be supportive of the present administration and continue to follow its activities on other social media platforms like Twitter @ followlasg and on .
